4x4 Owner's Open Day

Once again, thanks to everyone who turned out on Sunday and helped to make this year's 4x4 Owner's Open Day another resounding success.

We don't think we beat last years total of well over 45 vehicles, but still a very respectable 39 drivers turned up to try out their 4x4's round our off road course.

The rain fell heavy and persistantly on Saturday which meant that the ground on Sunday was just a muddy quagmire.  Absolutely great fun for off roading, but there's lot of cursing from Ken regarding the state of his ground now that all those vehicles have been let loose on it.

Well done to Gideon Cowen from Bieldside who was victorious in our riding Big Bertha competition.  He didn't quite beat last years incredible winner, Jim Lamb, who stayed mounted on the big lady for 1½ minutes, but Gideon still achieved a very respectable time of 48.63 seconds.  Well Done!
