| SnowMan Building Competition
It's now been over three weeks that the Country has been covered in a thick white blanket of snow, and the media are heralding this as one of the worst Winters in 100 years. All we hear is doom and gloom.
But at Deeside Activity Park, the snow is great! Our quad biking is better than ever, the kart racing circuit may be out of bounds, but quad bike ice racing is proving a hugely popular alternative, and the challenge is on to see who can make it round our 4x4 off road driving course without getting stuck. Needless to say, this has not yet been achieved. Why not come along and try yourself?
We had the press visiting us when we hosted our alternative Winter Games. We're sure that our alternative sports - snowball lobbing, synchronised snow angels, speed snow shovelling and snow long jump - will soon be permanent fixtures in the Winter Olympics.
Then on Sunday 10th January, we had a snowman building competition. Approximately 50 visitors turned up in family groups to build the wierdest and wackiest snowmen they could think of.
The competition was fierce, but the snowman 'Flat Oot' came out on top. Well Done!
