Highland Games, if done properly, are great fun
we throw in a bit of Team Building and never forget the considerable amount of history and heritage our many local games can offer. All the usual activities are offered, with kilted instructors, and at least one piper marching the field. Dancing, Caber Tossing, Tug O’war, Sheaf Throwing, and of course some whisky tasting, will all be included along with our regulars like Axe Throwing and Archery. A Marquee in the middle of our lawn will complete the feel and enhance the atmosphere.
You may also wish to visit our local Aboyne Highland Games, held on the 1st Saturday in August, which we feel is one of the best and most genuine of Highland events with a regular attendance of over 10,000. Ken will be happy to host a visit, and introduce visitors to the committee chairmen, and possible even The Chieftan!
